I always start with a scribble, nothing special just to catch the idea:
Next step: a proper sketch, sometimes I'll sketch over again and again, when I'm struggling with anatomy and proportions. Sometimes I'm planning with colors the highlights, like here for the soap bubbles I'm adding later.
after that the boring part, (for me) lining.
I really don't like making outlines. I would love to skip that part. 😂
Next step: Basic colors
After that: shading and highlights
The last step: background and even more highlights!
Sometimes I make a few color corrections with Photoshop and then it's done!
